Alexandra “Alex” Band is an advisor, an advocate and a strategist. She takes on every deal as if it were her own, and she finds a way to make it work.
Before she represented anyone else, Alex bought property for herself. That taught her to read a house the way an investor does: what the land is worth, what a renovation will cost and what it will return, and where the market is mispricing something. Those lessons shaped the broker she became. She’s creative, persistent, and always looking for the value other people miss.
Alex speaks four languages and studied International Relations and Chinese Studies, with time at Connecticut College, the University of Hawaiʻi and the East-West Center. That background helps in a business built on negotiation. She listens closely, reads what the other side actually needs, and keeps complicated transactions moving.
Alex has lived in Bow Mar for years, and much of her business is with neighbors and the streets around the lakes. She’s known for a “luxury eye with a thrifty flair.” She helps sellers put money only where buyers will notice it, and helps buyers see the potential in a house that needs vision.
Friends call her a “resource queen,” and clients see why within a week. When a deal needs a lender who can move fast, a contractor’s estimate before the inspection deadline, or an agent who knows a house is coming to market, Alex usually knows who to call. For her, real estate is about strategy and connection, and about building something that lasts for the client.
