About Cherry Creek

Cherry Creek runs from University Boulevard to Colorado Boulevard, between Sixth Avenue and the creek. Its center is Cherry Creek North, a 16-block district of independent boutiques, galleries, restaurants and hotels. Cherry Creek Shopping Center is just across First Avenue.

Alex works out of Compass’s Cherry Creek office on Columbine Street, a few blocks from many of the homes she shows.

The housing mix

Over the past two decades, many original bungalows and brick homes have given way to new single-family homes and contemporary townhomes. One block might have a 1920s Tudor next to a house finished in 2015. The condominium buildings along First Avenue and Cherry Creek South Drive offer lock-and-leave living, many with mountain views from the upper floors.

Day to day

Cherry Creek is one of the most walkable parts of Denver: coffee, groceries, dinner and the gym are often all within a few blocks. The Cherry Creek Trail follows the creek toward downtown, Fillmore Plaza hosts the Cherry Creek Arts Festival each summer, and Denver Country Club sits just to the west.
