From farmland to acre lots
After World War II, the farmland here was divided into homesites. The first house went up in 1947, and most of the town was built by the end of the 1950s. Many of the early houses followed Frank Lloyd Wright’s Prairie style: long, low and one story, set well back on lots of about an acre.
That plan still shapes the town. Streets are quiet, lots are deep, and the oldest evergreens are now taller than the houses.
